DT Works Limited is proud to have successfully completed the HVAC and Medical Gas Works for the Matibabu Foundation Project in Siaya, Kenya, delivering high-quality systems designed to support the healthcare needs of the Proposed Surgical Department, Staff Facilities, Pre and Post-Op Department, ICU, Reception and Waiting Area. Our expertise in both HVAC and medical gas installation ensured a seamless and efficient implementation that met the project’s exacting standards.
Scope of Work for HVAC:
1. Project Mobilization & Manufacturing:
DT Works managed the entire mobilization process, from planning and manufacturing to the shipment of HVAC components, ensuring a smooth project start.
2. HVAC System Installation:
i. Precise Marking & Hacking for Services: Careful planning and marking were conducted to install HVAC systems with minimal disruption, particularly in sensitive areas like the surgical and ICU departments.
ii. Drainage & Copper Pipeworks: Efficient and timely execution of all necessary drainage and copper pipework to ensure optimal HVAC performance across various departments.
iii. Ductwork Fabrication & Installation: Expert fabrication and installation of ductwork that optimized airflow and energy efficiency, ensuring the comfort of patients and staff in all areas, including the ICU and operating rooms.
iv. Installation of HVAC Equipment: All HVAC units, including air handlers, cooling systems, and temperature control systems, were installed with precision and care, maintaining a comfortable and sterile environment in critical areas.
v. Electrical Connections & Insulation: Proper electrical connections were established, and insulation was applied to ensure long-term energy efficiency and performance in the surgical and medical areas.
ii. Drainage & Copper Pipeworks: Efficient and timely execution of all necessary drainage and copper pipework to ensure optimal HVAC performance across various departments.
iii. Ductwork Fabrication & Installation: Expert fabrication and installation of ductwork that optimized airflow and energy efficiency, ensuring the comfort of patients and staff in all areas, including the ICU and operating rooms.
iv. Installation of HVAC Equipment: All HVAC units, including air handlers, cooling systems, and temperature control systems, were installed with precision and care, maintaining a comfortable and sterile environment in critical areas.

3.Testing & Commissioning
Rigorous testing and commissioning processes ensured all HVAC systems met performance, safety, and efficiency standards, providing a reliable environment for surgeries and patient care.
Scope of Work for Medical Gas Installation:
1. Preparation & Planning:
Marking & Hacking for Medical Gas Routes: Walls were carefully marked for the installation of medical gas routes to ensure proper flow and safety in critical departments such as the surgical, ICU, and post-op areas.
2. Medical Gas System Installation:
i. Copper Pipework & Ceiling Pendant Installation: Copper piping was installed for the distribution of medical gases, along with the setup of ceiling pendants in operating rooms and ICU for easy access to necessary gas supplies.
ii. Installation of Terminal Units & Gas Accessories: Medical gas terminal units and necessary accessories were installed in all relevant areas, including the surgical and ICU departments, to ensure safety and control.
iii. Medical Air & Vacuum Systems: We installed a duplex medical vacuum system, anaesthetic gas scavenging systems, and a combined medical air plant to ensure continuous and safe medical gas supply for surgical and critical care.
iv. Pressure Reducing Stations & Manifold Changeovers: Essential pressure reduction and manifold changeover systems were installed to ensure safe and reliable gas supply across all medical areas.
ii. Installation of Terminal Units & Gas Accessories: Medical gas terminal units and necessary accessories were installed in all relevant areas, including the surgical and ICU departments, to ensure safety and control.
iii. Medical Air & Vacuum Systems: We installed a duplex medical vacuum system, anaesthetic gas scavenging systems, and a combined medical air plant to ensure continuous and safe medical gas supply for surgical and critical care.
iv. Pressure Reducing Stations & Manifold Changeovers: Essential pressure reduction and manifold changeover systems were installed to ensure safe and reliable gas supply across all medical areas.
3.Testing & Commissioning
The entire medical gas system underwent extensive testing to ensure it met all healthcare standards, ensuring the highest level of safety and performance for patient care in critical environments.
Completion and Handover:
DT Works Limited successfully handed over the HVAC and Medical Gas Installations, ensuring full functionality and compliance with healthcare standards. The systems in place provide a safe, comfortable, and sterile environment in the Proposed Surgical Department, Staff Facilities, Pre and Post-Op Department, ICU, Reception and Waiting Area.
